Small footprint switches for Helio Junction Box

Our new Helio Switches complete the offering introduced last November. These new models are specifically designed for solar photovoltaic applications. They have lower ratings (from 32A to 80A)compared to the first Helio Switch (lying from 160A to 400A).

When specified they are mounted in Helio Junction Box combined with fuse holders and Surge Trap Surge Protective Devices (SPD's) all designed, qualified and manufactured by Ferraz Shawmut.

Photovoltaics as power source is very booming. By 2020 installed capacity in solar power is expected to be near 300 GW. Generating electricity from this available energy source is an extremely reliable process – as long as it’s properly protected !
